Empowering Communities and Leading Change 🤩

In the vast realm of open source🌍, where innovation knows no bounds, I embarked on a transformative journey that led me from being a contributor to becoming a Program Manager in the GirlScript Summer of Code (GSSoC) Open Source Program.
This blog shares my experience and sheds light on how students can leverage such opportunities to unlock their potential and make a lasting impact in the world of tech.🚀

Embracing Open Source as a Budding Developer🍂-

My journey started, as a budding developer, venturing into the world of open source. I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. It was then that I stumbled upon the captivating realm of open source. At first, it seemed daunting🤯, with countless projects and an ocean of code🌊. However, my curiosity and desire for growth pushed me to take the plunge and become a contributor in GWoC (GirlScript Winter of Code) 2021 program.

As I immersed myself in Open source programs, I embarked on a journey of continuous learning and growth. Through collaboration with fellow contributors and guidance from experienced mentors, I gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of open-source development. Concepts like Git, GitHub, and project workflows gradually became second nature, empowering me to make meaningful contributions to the projects I was involved in, during GirlScript Winter of Code'21, Hacktoberfest'21, FOSSASIA'21, Google Summer of Code'21 and Linux Foundation (LFN) Mentorship Program'21.👩‍💻

Nurturing the Next Generation of Open Source Contributors🌱-

As I continued to contribute to various projects, my skills and confidence grew. The incredible support and guidance I received during my open-source endeavors inspired me deeply, igniting a strong urge to pay it forward.
